Absolutely love your Castor Oil as a hot oil treatment. I warmed it up (by placing a bit in a container submerged in a bowl of hot water) and applied throughout my hair from root to tips and wrapped my hair with plastic wrap. Kept it in overnight and rinsed it out in the am and, my goodness my hair was the softest it has ever been. My hair loves this treatment. Still watchful to see if it will increase the fullness of my hair in weak spots. This takes time so I’m working on being patient.
Reason why I minused a star, probably should minus 3 stars is the shipping rate. $15+ is ridiculous for shipping. I live in Cali and ship to NYE packages that are heavier than my Tropic Isle package for way less than $15. Tropic Isle Living should look into this and improve it for their customers. I know $35 and up qualifies for free shipping however sometimes I need only 2 items and shouldn’t be forced to purchase $35 worth.

I have been trying for 3 1/2 years to find out what was causing my hair to fall out like crazy, I was loosing my beautiful curly hair. There was a medical condition that I thought it would be the culprit but it wasn’t, I then went to a dermatologist and had a scalp biopsy, all was normal. I have actually been to several dermatologist, endocrinologist, any doctor you can imagine, After this ridiculous search I started buying whatever tablet, shampoo or potion out there to “Stop Hair Loss” and they all failed. I was depressed and scared of my problem being so young and such an issue that no one could find a reason. I then started looking on you tube for more stuff, I was obsessed. I bumped into these videos about Tropic Isle Living and decide to purchase the Jamaican Black Castor Oil, I received my first 8oz bottle November 10/2015 and today January 5/2016 I can say that this product is truly working for me. I had Shea Moisture Jamaican black Castor Oil Shampoo but I have moved one to The complete line of Tropic Isle Living for the simple reason that it has stopped my hair falling out about 80% already, I am stunned and absolutely rejoicing with happiness, My hair is very full, shiny and bouncy after having horrendous dead curls leftover I call them. My hair is full and I am sure that this is only the beginning because I am just only close to my second month using these heaven sent products, I am also addicted to the Foot treatment, the tutorials are awesome, what a great way to help women in distress when we go through so many changes in our lives and we want to look our best even though we could be going through a storm. Thank you so much Tropic Isle, it has been a wonderful experience. See you guys around, what a blessing <3

I love this stuff I ordered the 4oz now I’m ordering the 8oz as I am traveling and they do not have this where I’m going. I noticed my hair is so thick and moisturized already. I noticed my hair is not falling out like it used to. I also notice my hair is growing in. I love this stuff I’m hooked and this is my main source for hair growth. Thanks Tropical for making such a great product. I’m a happy customer and I received my product pretty fast.

    Alopecia Sucks

I have been using this oil for 6 weeks off and on since Jan. 20, 2016. I stopped for two weeks to try another brand and then came back to the Tropic Isle Living brand on Feb. 18, 2016. This oil makes my hair a little dry so I have to use some kind of creamy leave in or moisturizer with it. Patiently waiting to see if it will grow hair on my huge smooth bald spot. 3 stars because Im not seeing any drastic improvement yet.

Hi, should I buy ‘Strong Roots Red Pimento Hair Growth Oil’ or ‘Jamaican Black Castor’ for hair growth? Which one will give a better result? I am now confused which one to buy.

I agree with the 2015 review about the shipping being very high($15) IMO. I love the products and the shower gel that I cannot find in the store and now I do not think I will continue to order unless in bulk or on Amazon. The price is now to qualify for free shipping it most be over 50 dollars! Not the 35 that is was before. Crazy!

I’m sure the product is great, but the shipping price is a bit much, I wanted to buy two things but wasn’t able to because of the price for shipping.

The castor tree and the ancient art of making Black Castor Oil arrived on the shores of Jamaica over 400 years ago with African slaves. Today Black Castor Oil is still made and used in the same old fashioned way as practiced thousands of years ago in Africa.
