1. Why do you have 3 JBCO oils?
Tropic Isle Living has 3 JBCO oils so that we can satisfy all customer needs. Additionally, our authentic roasting, water extraction, and filtering process for Wild Char allow us to formulate 3 different oils for a myriad of uses.
2. What is the difference between the 3 TIL JBCO oils?
LIGHT BLEND: Blends JBCO with Avocado/Jojoba/Almond Oil (AHA complex) for an everyday light-hearted
experience. The scent profile is not as pungent and the oil is not as thick when combined with the nutrient filled AHA complex.
ORIGINAL: Fire Roasted to perfection /Water Extracted/Filters the bean Charcoal aka "Wild Char" from formula. We
find that the formula is much more therapeutic for many uses for hair and skin conditions. The scent profile is
lightly nutty and the oil is a bit thicker in nature.
XX DARK: Fire Roasted to perfection/Water Extracted/NO Filtering of the bean Charcoal aka "Wild Char" from formula. This formulation is nutrient rich due to all the nutrients of the castor bean present in the oil. This makes for a more
potent experience for those who are looking for more restorative and detoxing beauty and skin regimens.
3. What is Wild Char?
Wild Char is the toasted outer shell of the castor seed, roasted to a deep brown over a wood fire. It isn't charcoal,
that's just what is left when you burn wood. Wild Char is the actual toasted char of the castor bean and has all of
the goodness that only develops with the traditional fire roasting process.
4. Can I use JBCO if I have a tree nut or peanut allergy?
Tropic Isle Living does not recommend that you use this product if you suffer from a nut allergy. A common
for the castor bean is "Nut Oil".
5. Can I mix the JBCO with other Oils?
Yes, you can mix JBCO with other oils. JBCO is an excellent carrier oil that enhance a much longer lasting
experience when paired with other oils. We have oils mixed with JBCO. Try out Herbal Essential lines which
includes... JBCO, Rosemary, Lavender, Aloe & Coconut.
6. Can I take JBCO as a laxative?
No. Our products are not intended for oral consumption. It is for external use only.
7. Is the product only for ethnic hair?
No. the Tropic Isle Living Product Line is designed for all ethnicities, textures, and hair types. This is why we
introduced the Trilogy so that everyone could benefit from the benefits of JBCO.
8. Can TIL JBCO be used to strengthen the eyebrows and eyelashes?
Yes, it is recommended that you use the Light or the Original JBCO strengths.
EYELASHES:
Use a small amount of TIL JBCO Trilogy Light or Original castor oil by dipping a cotton swab gently into the oil. Delicately run the cotton swab along the top of your lash line, taking great care to not allow any of the oil into your eye (Note: Of that gets into your eye(s) could be extremely irritating. Eye(s) should be washed out immediately with water.)
EYEBROWS:
Use a small amount and apply TIL JBCO Trilogy Light or Original castor oil to the eyebrows on a daily basis. Make sure your eyebrows are clean and free of makeup. Use a cotton swab or clean mascara wand to wipe a small amount of castor oil over the eyebrows. Gently massage the castor oil into the eyebrows.
9. Can JBCO Trilogy be used on all hair types?
Yes, it can be used on all hair types and textures, especially with the TIL Trilogy options:

Yes, we recommend using the TIL JBCO Light or Original.
11. How many times a week should I use JBCO?
For best results with any regimen, try using at least 2-3 times per week.
12. Does Jamaican Black Castor Oil help grow the hair?
TIL JBCO will moisturize, thicken, strengthen and aids in hair growth. It increases blood flow to the scalp, supplying valuable nutrients to hair follicles, and will assists in preventing hair breakage, dandruff, eczema, and dry, itchy scalp.
13. Can I Mix JBCO with water?
Yes, our authentic process utilizes a water extraction when making the oil. It can be mixed with water to tame frizzy hair; it can also be mixed with water and used to refresh your coils and curls.
